Welcome, readers. I’m a seasoned software engineer and technologist who aspires to share my personal experiences, knowledge, and wisdom with those who wish to read and listen. My amazing wife, Sarah, and I have three blossoming boys. I’m a no bullshit person who seeks to better the world through teaching. Life is a journey that is so much more than what we perceive. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I’m all for some healthy disagreement. My hope is that through my thoughts about technology, privacy, parenting, spirituality, and more I’m able to help others who are looking for sign posts to help guide them down the right path.
We all have our own experiences and conditioning and that can easily fool us into believing we know more than we do. I like to remind myself of the parable of the blind men and the elephant: we are all blind to the world around us, and we may form inaccurate opinions based on incomplete information. It is important to consider multiple viewpoints to understand the whole picture, and it is good to challenge your own ideals in order to strengthen the position from which you stand.
